Introduction :
Thriphala is a popular and well respected formulation in Ayurveda comprising of three medicinal fruits in Ayurveda in sanskrit they are named as Harithaki , Bibhithaki and Amlaki. In Sinhala language they are named as Aralu, Bulu and Nelli.
Ayurveda system of medicine has understood that the the functions, digestive, absorptive and elimination are the most vital biological processes that controls a healthy life. Therapeutic properties of three fruits in Thriphala can rectify the above processes and help living healthily.
There are small, finger-like projections that extend into the lumen of the small intestine. Each villus is approximately 0.5–1.6 mm in length (in humans), and has many micro villi projecting from the enterocytes of its epithelium which collectively form the striated or brush border.
Triphala can be considered as a bowel toner, helps to restore the muscular function and contractible of the intestinal wall. The intestinal tract produces a certain amount of mucus that helps lubricate it after each meal, Over time, some of the digestive mucus builds up in the digestive tract, clogging the little hair-like villi that help the body absorb its nutrients such as mono monosaccharide and amino acids. The Ayurveda formulation Triphala helps to cleanse the mucus off the digestive villi, paving the way for a more efficient digestive process.
Three different biological functions of three fruits in Thriphala can be summarized as below.
1). Amalaki supports the intestinal repair.
2). Bibhitaki pulls the old mucus off the intestinal wall.

Introduction:
Literally meaning “three fruits”, Thriphala is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal formulation consisting of three fruits native to the Indian subcontinent: Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Bibhitaki (Terminalia belerica) and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula).
Deegayu Thriphala has been designed by Deegayu product development team and manufactured by using the standardized extracts of dehydrated ingredients facilitating the inclusion of authentic properties of three Ayurveda medicinal fruits and converting into a dosage form as a tablet with 500 mg. weight.
It is recommended to consume one to two tablets at a time after meals for better results.
