Deegayu manufactures all Ayurveda therapeutic oils except a few. The formulas of the oils have been extracted from the Ayurveda Pharmacopoeia issued by the department of Ayurveda.

The main factor controlling the quality of the oil is its formula. Deegayu has developed formulas for each of the oils based on the Ayurveda Pharmacopoeia of Sri Lanka. The formula consists of the quantities of ingredients recommended recommended to be available for the formula. All the formulas of Deegayu Ayurveda oils have been standardized for a specific quantity ( Ex: 100 kg. output).

The next parameter affects the quality of the finished oil is the manufacturing process quality plan. This quality plan consists of the sequence of processes carried out for the manufacture of the oil.

Deegayu has established inspection and testing methods for each and every process undergone during the manufacturing activity starting from the selection of raw materials up to the finished product.

The main raw material of Ayurveda oils is the base oil. If the quality of the base oil is not defined accurately, the quality of the final product cannot be made uniform. Therefore Deegayu has established its own facility for manufacture of the base oils.

සෑම තෛලයකම තත්වය රඳා පවතිනුයේ එම තෛලයේ පදනම් තෛලය ලෙස භාවිතා කරන ද්‍රව්‍යයේ ප්‍රමිතියයි. පදනම් තෛල වශයෙන් භාවිතා වන තල තෙල් හා පොල්තෙල් නිෂ්පාදනාගාරයක් සමාගම අතර එම පදනම් තෛලයන් සමාගම විසින්ම නිෂ්පාදනය කරනු ලබයි.

The base oil of most of the important Ayurveda oils is Sesame oil. Deegayu owns a facility for expelling sesame oil from Sri Lankan grown black sesame seeds. Black sesame seeds are grown in Sri Lanka in "Chena" or "Hena" by the farmers as an intermediate crop. Even though this sesame is grown by farmers, no chemical fertilizer or pesticides used during the process of cultivation.

Due to this reason, naturally grown sesame oil is comprised of all the medicinal properties expected by Ayurveda. Most of the manufacturers of Ayurveda Oils use imported Sesame Oil which has been expelled by using commercially grown sesame seeds. These sesame seeds have been genetically modified to give the maximum yield of oil and they are completely out of compliance to the basic Ayurveda quality standard. Therefore Ayurveda oils manufactured by using commercially cultivated sesame seeds are completely out of compliance to required Ayurveda standard.

The next vital factor influence the quality of Ayurveda oils is the other raw materials used. Deegayu has established procedures to select authentic Ayurveda raw materials and developed processes to prepare those raw materials to facilitate the release of medicinal components of those herbs to oils during the process of boiling.
